Malawi: Institutionalizing the PI Training

Description of the Project:

Building on the implementation of the PI Training within the Financial Inclusion and Entrepreneurship Scaling (FInES) Project in 2023, we are institutionalizing the PI Training at the Small and Medium Enterprise Development Corporation (SMEDCO, formerly SMEDI). SMEDCO will use the PI Training we developed during the FInES Project to train entrepreneurs across the country and integrate it as a core program. To ensure a high-quality implementation of the PI Training, we have trained a total of 14 staff members of SMEDCO as PIT Trainers and two PIT Project Master Trainers that are certified to train further trainers within SMEDCO. Additionally, we are currently in the process of training additional PIT Project Master Trainers.
