Uganda: PI Agripreneurship Training for South Sudanese Refugees

Client: Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO)

Duration: Since September 2025

Description of the Project:

Together with our partners Refugee Livelihood Space (RLS) and Innovative Institute of Agriculture, Business and Capacity Building (IABC), we are conducting a project in Kiryandongo, Uganda. Funded by FAO, the project aims to train 150 participants using an agripreneurship training that includes elements of the Personal Initiative (PI) Training. The training will be delivered to a mixed group of South Sudanese refugees and members of the host community in Kiryandongo.

Our partners on the ground, RLS and IABC are conducting the training and additionally support the beneficiaries to set up agricultural spaces for their personal needs and as a basis for their agri-businesses. A total of eight trainers from both organizations have been trained to deliver the training.
